Join the USYVL Team |
Preparation for the Spring 2006 season is in full swing and we are actively searching for Site Directors to fill vacancies at various sites.
What does it take to be a Site Director? The main thing is the ability to HAVE FUN while working with parents and kids at your site. Don’t get me wrong, to be a Site Director you must be committed, organized, able to communicate and convey the USYVL philosophy. However, it only takes 2-3 hours of your time per week.
I can’t tell you how many times we have heard the same thing from our volunteer Site Directors: “You guys make it so easy.” Because we provide all the tools, guidance and support on how to run your site successfully, it makes it simple for volunteers.
Give it a try for one season and see how much you enjoy it! It’s a great opportunity to be directly involved with the success of your site. Join the USYVL team and experience the exciting growth of youth volleyball in your community by contacting us at 1-888-988-7985 or USYVL@aol.com. |
Remember to Register |
Volleyball registration for the upcoming season is open at all sites. Make sure to register by your site’s deadline to ensure your spot on a team.
Of course, registering is easy! You can complete the registration form we sent to you (with that cool sticker!) and mail it in or, if you prefer, you can go online at www.USYVL.org and register online. If you do not have a registration form to mail in – and you would like one -- please give us a call or print it directly from our web site.
Remember to let your friends and neighbors know that registration is in progress for the Spring 2006 Season. If you would like to play on the same team with a friend, it is absolutely possible as long as one of the parents volunteers to be the team’s head coach. |
Are you Board Material? |
The USYVL is seeking enthusiastic and engaged individuals to join the league’s board of directors. If you have skills in fund raising, marketing initiatives, corporate partnerships, or can provide direct support and guidance to the rapidly expanding USYVL, you are encouraged to contact the organization. The Board provides the impetus for enhancement of the program. As the leading grassroots youth volleyball program in the United States, USYVL provides board members the opportunity to make a difference for thousands of children, keeping them healthy, active, social and in possession of higher self esteem.
If you are interested in becoming a USYVL Board member, or you know someone who would be a good candidate, please contact us at Directors@USYVL.org or call us at 1-888-988-7985.
Be an instrument and influential hand in the growth and integrity of the sport of volleyball. |
Promote your Business |
Have you ever wondered how to get your name on the nets at your site? It is the first thing that players, parents and local community members see when attending the program - or merely passing by. Well, we’re happy to let you know how you can sponsor the USYVL and put your business at eye level. A net sponsorship will allow you to put your business name on a net system that is used for practices and games during two eight week seasons. You pick the net color and site! Just contact us at 1-888-988-7985.
1 Net Sponsorship - $600, 2 Net Sponsorship - $800, 3 Net Sponsorship - $1000,
5 Net Sponsorship - $1500, 10 Net Sponsorship - $2500
It’s a terrific way to sponsor your local USYVL site and have your business seen by everyone in the community. |
Seeking Clinicians |
More kids equals the need for more Clinicians. Many sites are growing at a rapid pace, so it’s only logical.
Consequently, we are looking for skilled volleyball players to get involved with the USYVL. We find that people who avidly play volleyball and are involved in the volleyball community make great Clinicians. Not only do they love the sport, but they enjoy teaching it and sharing their knowledge.
What we look for in a Clinician is volleyball playing experience at the club, high school, college or higher level. Coaching experience is a plus, but not necessary. We are more focused on the ability to demonstrate the skills, since a priority in conveying the USYVL Curriculum is to demonstrate the skills to the kids and volunteer coaches.
If you or someone you know who is interested in becoming a USYVL Clinician, please contact the USYVL office at 1-888-988-7985 or USYVL@aol.com. |
