Kid's Days/College Nights – More to Come
Top teams and top-notch excitement were witnessed by USYVL players and family members when Pepperdine University, ranked #1 in the nation, battled California State University, Northridge (#7) on Thursday night at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Of course, because this match-up was one of the USYVL Kid's Days/College Nights, players were offered four complimentary tickets. This perk gave players and their family members an opportunity to view some of the best volleyball players in the country. Aside from the pure excitement of watching high-level volleyball, there is no better way to learn the sport than to watch the technique and teamwork of these skilled players.

The good news is that many more USYVL Kid's Days/College Nights remain.

Training Video Awaits Your Viewing

Clinicians, Coaches, and Assistant Coaches, the official USYVL training video featuring an introduction by Olympic gold medalist Misty May is available for viewing at www.usyvl.org. This streaming video features all the pertinent facts about USYVL teaching methods and demonstrates the actual drills you will teach at your practice sessions. Through the video, you'll see how simple the coaching process is both for you and the children. The unique USYVL game structures are described, too. Best of all, the video is separated into chapters so, in a matter of minutes, you can review the skills to be taught during that week's practice session.

Kids can learn from the video too, so players are encouraged to watch it as well. We only ask that you keep in mind that all materials are copyrighted, so please do not distribute the video, or USYVL Curriculum Handbook, beyond your USYVL use. The USYVL received much of its expert advice from top coaches and sports psychologists who donated their time and expertise knowing that these materials would be utilized to further the mission of the nonprofit USYVL.
