Are you looking for a way to make the most your child’s time, and your time, during a United States Youth Volleyball League (USYVL) season?  Consider coaching.  It is probably much easier than you think.  You will, undoubtedly, make meaningful contributions with the time you spend teaching teamwork and volleyball skills to youth in your area.  Better yet, your child will be thrilled, and you’ll develop a wonderful, long-lasting rapport with the other children on your team.

Since each site has a Clinician (consider this person the coach-in-chief), coaches are tasked with executing a pre-prepared lesson plan that is spearheaded by the Clinician.  You’ll have tools before you hit the court in the form of an easy-to-read coaching manual, and on-site training given by your Clinician.  Truly, it makes the job very easy.  Opportunities exist for both Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles.  Interested?  Be sure to reach out to your Site Director.

With leagues beginning, the sooner you make the move, the better.  If you have any questions regarding coaching or other volunteer opportunities, please feel free to contact the USYVL National Office at 888-988-7985, or via email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
