Want a Net?
Volley with your kids in the backyard, at a picnic, or in the park with USYVL nets and lines. Our easy-to-use systems can be set up and taken down in less time than it takes to say “Park & Sun Volleyball Net Systems”. These very same nets used by participants sell for $165 (instead of the $249 retail price). Email us at nets@usyvl.org or contact the USYVL office (1-888-988-7985) for more information. Quantities are limited.
Hey Alumni! Where Are YOU Now?
It’s not easy to keep track of what our nearly 100,000 alumni are doing these days, but we’re trying anyway. Where has your volleyball experience brought you? Are you playing in high school? On the beach? In a rec league? In college? Send us your story to alumni@usyvl.org. Don’t forget to attach a photo!
Volunteer Spotlight
Eric Davis has made a big impact on USYVL-Santa Maria, California. What’s so special about what Eric’s been doing? Well…
A former American Youth Soccer Organization director, Eric got involved with USYVL when his 9 year old daughter got the volleyball itch. Now, after two seasons as site director, his community participates in the fun as much as the kids! Each volleyball season the Santa Maria site hosts a barbeque for its participants, their families, and many local businesses. This past Spring, Washington Mutual donated piggy banks to teach the kids to save up their pennies while the Harley Davidson shop down the street gave away some gear (no motorcycles, unfortunately). The local gymnastics group came out and showed their community support. Rumor has it Eric even convinced Chuck E Cheese to spike a few balls while Boomers Miniature Golf gave away golfing passes!
Eric’s hard work and dedication is impossible to ignore. Even the Santa Maria Times and CBS Channel 12 News has taken note! We want to thank Eric for the wonderful job he does on-site and for the effort he makes to ensure that each child has a great time.
