Fall 07 Season!!!

The fall season has begun off to a great start. This fall season marks the 10th year running for the USYVL. Starting this week, game days will begin. All players should have received a t-shirt for their team for game days. Don’t forget also that the USYVL is coming to you again this spring. In the upcoming weeks, flyers for the Spring 08 season will be arriving at your site and on our website. Players who register on the last day of the season, either on site or online will receive a really cool gift. If you have any questions please call the National Office at 1-888-988-7985 or talk to your site director.

USYVL KIDS’ NIGHTS

Just as a reminder, the USYVL has been invited to come to two Women’s College Volleyball games this Fall 2007 Season. Top teams and top-notch excitement can be witnessed by USYVL players and family members if you can attend of these great Women’s Volleyball matches. Since these are two USYVL Kid's Days/College Nights, players are offered free tickets.

For the Moorpark game, all USYVL players who wear their USYVL apparel will get to attend the game for free. For the University of Irvine game, attached is a flyer of four postcards to bring to the game. Each postcard brought is a ticket for free admission.

These perks give players and their family members an opp

ortunity to view some of the best volleyball players in the country. Aside from the pure excitement of watching high-level volleyball, there is no better way to learn the sport than to watch the technique and teamwork of these skilled players.

New USYVL Employee turns the USYVL Green

The USYVL has been very lucky to have found an energetic and fun loving employee named Chelsea Thomas who has helped to change the lifestyle of the USYVL by going green. Chelsea Thomas has been working for the USYVL now for about 6 months. For the past couple of months she has been trying to get all the employees to recycle and use the money as a “Treat Fund” for the office. Chelsea has grown up where recycling has been an important part of her daily life and it has become second nature to her. Today, the USYVL has filled over two boxes full of plastic water bottles and has been helping the environment by doing so. Chelsea goes every week to drop off the bottles to the recycling center in Torrance, Ca. and has set up a fund for the office to have a treat day for recycling. Chelsea is not only doing her part in informing others in the importance of recycling, but she is also doing a great job by assisting in running the USYVL sites. She is even proposing that all sites have recycling bins and that money can go back into the league for a beneficial cause. So now that you know what Chelsea has been doing for the environment, here are some little fun facts about her.
