About Volunteering: A large portion of the USYVL organization is fueled by our volunteers. Even if you've never touched a volleyball in your life, there are ways you can help. Please read the job descriptions below to see if you can help the USYVL staff teach our youth what volleyball is all about.

Site Director

The Site Director manages the local site and heads the site commission to insure the proper organization and running of the league within the framework of the USYVL bylaws, guidelines and policies. Responsible for communicating with the main office and keeping them updated about the status of the site. 

Time Commitment:  3 hrs. per week

 

Coach

Will run practices and games under the direction of the site clinician. Responsible for teaching technical skills and life skills. No experience needed. Coaching clinics and manuals provided.

Time Commitment: 2 1/2 hrs. per week

Assistant Coach

Will assist coach with running practices and games under the direction of the site clinician. Assist in teaching technical and life skills. No experience needed. Coaching clinics and manuals provided.

Time commitment: 2½ hrs. per week

First-Aid Administrator

Requires current certification in basic first-aid training including CPR. Position attends to injuries and any unsafe conditions on the playing area.

Time commitment: 1-2 hrs. per week

Registration

Assist site director with registration and check-in. Assist site director with distribution of player uniform t-shirts and volunteer shirts.

Time commitment: 1-2 hrs. per week.

Clinician

Responsible for teaching the proper fundamentals of volleyball and making sure the volunteer coaches working with each team are running the drills correctly.  Previous volleyball experience is required for this position. 

Time commitment:  3 hrs. per week

Coaching Administrator

Responsible for locating a reliable & qualified Clinician and making sure that all volunteer coaching positions are filled prior to the start of the season.

Time commitment:  4-6 hrs. per

Scheduling Administrator

Responsible for coordinating the local league’s schedule with other local community and school activities to avoid schedule conflicts.

Time commitment:  4-6 hrs. per season

Sponsorship Administrator


Responsible for actively pursuing and securing private and local business contributions to the organization.

Time commitment: 4-6 hrs. per season
